Wireless Internet Access and Wired Jacks

Wireless Internet Access is available in the FBO using the 802.11b WiFi standard.  Simply turn on your wireless-enabled laptop computer or other wireless device, and it will automatically recognize the wireless network.  Your laptop must be configured to "Obtain an IP address automatically" (i.e. DHCP).  No Special encryption settings, user names, or passwords are required.

Please note:  Your data is not protected while on the network.  Please configure your own security settings on your laptop.

Wired Internet Jacks are available in the FBO lounge and conference room.  The Jacks are orange, and they are labeled "Internet".  Just connect your laptop's Ethernet port to access the Internet.  Your laptop must be configured to "Obtain an IP address automatically" (i.e. DHCP).  If you have trouble connecting, you may have to release your DHCP lease and then renew it again.

Dial-up Modem Jacks are also located throughout the FBO.  They are labeled "modem" and can be used by plugging a standard phone line into your modem port.  Be careful not to confuse these jacks with the "digital" phone system jacks.
